James Franco Goes From Port Chuck to 30 Rock

Continuing to prove he dances to the beat of his own iPod, James Franco will follow up his General Hospital run with a guest gig on Tina Fey's critically-acclaimed, NBC laffer 30 Rock. According to Michael Ausielo, Franco will play himself and get busy with Jenna, played by Jane Krakowski. After that, Franco will guest host MoNique's new BET talk show for a week. Okay, I'm kidding about the last part, but you never know with this one!

Really? Now we are reporting casting news of James Franco. He is not daytime, he is not part of the General Hospital cast. It is a stint/stunt that's all. I love how in 10 years we will be reporting on the comings and goings of "former general hospital star James Franco". He is not part of the Daytime family, get a life DC. Days of our Lives is beating all ABC soaps and ATWT in the ratings based on telling great story. So bring on your state fairs and James Franco it doesn't compare to great story, which Days is telling and everyone should be watching. Let's have a little more loyalty to real daytime which has been entertaining us for 80 + years.

Umm...let's see, maybe DC is reporting this because well, everybody was basically SHOCKED that James Franco would even consider doing a stint on GH for a two month time period, and well...people are maybe, I don't know?....Interested in him? So...I think it is pretty relevant to know that he his hopping all over the place from Spiderman to daytime to primetime.
But of course that is just my opinion.

@Lovemg23 If Jamey is not going to say it than I am. Jesus take the wheel! How is reporting on James Franco a slap in the face to daytime, when any buzz he gains will benefit General Hospital, and thus daytime as a whole. 30 Rock is a critically acclaimed show that will help Franco gain more viewers, viewers who might watch him on General Hospital.
This maybe a stretch, but some of the viewers who come to GH might start watching soaps on other networks as well. I know I originally was a Days fan, now I love ABC-AMC these days, and ocassionally I watch CBS.
