Kiss ABC's supernatural dramedy Eastwick goodbye. Hitfix.com reports, the Mouse House has decided not to order more episodes of the show, Eastwick will end once the original 13 episodes already filmed have aired.
The show had trouble gaining a following after it was placed in the Wednesday 10pm time slot against CBS's monster hit CSI: NY and NBC's weekly airings of The Jay Leno Show. No word on what the network will air in its place.

Oh, that's too bad! I really liked Eastwick. That leaves me with nothing to watch Wednesdays at 10. Too many CSIs could make a girl morbid and depressed, and who needs that?

This is the only new show I actually got into...guess it'll be a good book o an early bedtime on Wed nights. Why not cancel that lame Lost-wannabe Flash Forward and move Eastwick to that slot!

That's too bad. I think they could've given the show a bit more of a chance. Isn't it funny that CSI NY wasn't as popular as the other CSI's until NBC moved Leno to 10 p.m.? Give people no other choices, and they'll gravitate toward the known show, rather than taking a chance on a new one. Eastwick had potential. But then, so did Pushing Daisies.

Oh this is very sad news. i enjoyed this show a lot. That was actually fast considering that they just stopped it's online streaming. I thought they would give it another week or two to see if it could pick up some of the online viewers. At least it's not like NBC where they pull it and you never see a thing that happens. I always thought this was more of a light summer series. It will be missed, and I will miss Rebecca Romjn, i love her!

that sucks I liked this show, networks move things around too much or don't give a show a real chance! They didn't promote it enough for people to even know that it was there.

The problem is that networks don't want to advertise for their own shows anymore. If they can make money off the time, then they will do that. They only do commercials each program once or twice a night.
That is why soaps have plummetted. They used to advertise at least once per hour during prime time. Now, if you see a soap ad after 4pm, its for GH's next big storyline. Noone else will even bother. Don't you think that One Life to Live would get a bump in ratings if they promo'd Roscoe Born as Mitch Laurence or Jon Jackson's return during Greys Anatomy or Dancing with the stars?

Scoboot, I agree with you whole heartedly! I can't believe the Jay Leno show was beating Eastwick...weird!

Yeah, what sane person would rather watch Leno over Eastwick?
I wish the Networks would actually try to move shows around on the schedule before dumping them! Maybe this show would have played better on a different night?
Why not moving this to Friday in Ugly Betty's slot?

I don't know what the bigwigs at abc are thinking eastwick was one of the best written shows out there it was smart funny and entertaining sure they stayed pretty close to the movie plot but giving some time I think it would have spread its wings and gotten into its own muck the only critizem I have of the show is the casting of the devil Paul Gross is to clean cut I have a hard time buying him as a bad ass mabye they should have cast someone like Dean Mcdermott or Christian Slater much more belivebale
