With Christmas coming soon and the midseason TV series debuts in January not far behind, we're taking a look back at the 2009 Fall TV season. First up, The CW with its teen centric programming. By CW standards Vampire Diaries has been a ratings and demographic success, but Melrose Place has underwhelmed. Personally, I think Gossip Girl has been a disappointment this season, but just when I'm ready to throw something at my TV they pull off an episode like the Thanksgiving episode and suck me back in.

With VD, I'm waiting to see if Bonnie and Damon get together
And with 90210, although I love Jasper, I am so glad the truth is going to come out and that Liam and co busted out Naomi's sister. I want to see Liam and Naomi get back together.

I have been watching Smallville from the beginning, I'm from Kansas, like how they made reference to Kansas. Just when I think how much further they can go with this just gets better; I like how they bring the 3rd rate super heros. CW gave it the kiss of death by putting on Friday night, but turns out to be the show that won't die, most DVR'd show. When they got rid of most of the cast, and when they killed Jimmy off thought I'd stop watching it, but keeps getting better. I hope to see him ware the suit soon but that would be the end of the show. I don't want it to end.

Supernatural still rocks it Jensen and Jared always entertaining. Here is hoping we get season 6 writing is top notch!!! Vampire Diaries also another gem with its writing too any show that can get you rooting for the bad guy is good. Still willing to give Melrose Place a chance.

Smallvile, it took me awhile to get into it but it's been getting awesome lately. And Supernatural as a close second, it's had it's rough spots but most of the episodes have been awesome.
