Rob Lowe Leaving Brothers & Sisters

Sad news for Brothers & Sisters and Rob Lowe fans. Deadline Hollywood is reporting Lowe "has worked out an amicable exit strategy with ABC's Steve McPherson" to leave the popular ABC series. According to the same story ABC wants to keep Lowe in the House of Mouse and is in talks for him to anchor his own series.

Brothers & Sisters is really an irritating show.
Do you like any of the characters? They're tolerable but I don't love or admire them the same way that I do characters from Y&R or OLTL.
Unfortunately, B&S is the only watchable thing on Sundays at that time slot.
Lowe's character is probably the least irritating but how many liberal Republicans exist any more?

Yes this is sad news. I love him as Robert - he brings some sanity into the Walker family. Love the show - it is really well written.

What a shame to see him leave. I have enjoyed him and his character. I totally love B & S and look forward to every episode. I laugh and cry as I watch the interactions within the family. The show is dynamic and dramatic which finds me wanting more. As soon as one show is over I can hardly wait for the next to begin.

Sorry to get political but just because they've been marginalized recently doesn't mean they don't exist. Lots of people don't fall neatly into either liberal democrat or conservative republican.
From what I've read it sounds like he doesn't think he has been utilized enough. I think he gets lots of screentime considering it is an ensemble show.

I love Brothers & Sisters. Personally, I think he should stick with a paying gig.
What is he going to star in next 'Finders , Keepers, Losers Weepers"..... A show about things people keep that are lost by others? Seriously, there are soooo many lame and forgetable TV series out there.. He landed on a hit . He should consider himself lucky !!!!
