The BBC flagship soap is amping up for a huge 25th anniversery! and with Didrek Santer OUT as executive producer and Brian (HOLLYOAKS SAVIOR) Kirkwood to take over things are going to heat up!

So are you watching? What do you think of the latest plots and are you looking forward to Kirkwoods reign?

I recently started to get into the current Eastenders stuff.  My local PBS station has been showing Eastenders for years but they are 5 to 6 years behind.  Michelle Ryan, The Bionic Woman remake, is still on there.  I have been enjoying what's been happening and becoming acquainted or reacquainted with characters.  I have also been reading interviews/etc. on various sites such as Digital Spy.

Digitalspy is an amazing site (its the DC for UK soaps! LOL! But if you go to them expecting good US soap coverage you are in for a rude awakening because they report on things that DC and others reported about months ago LOL)

Anyways YAY another EE fan! W00t!

I totally agree, Digital Spy is great at covering UK Soaps.  I have learned alot about the behind-the-scenes stuff.  It also does a great job covering cult shows too.  Have you seen any of the EastEnders E20 episodes?  I have seen a couple, its a nice way to help introduce some new younger characters.  Some of the characters need new people to date because a lot of the younger characters are related to each other.

Johnathon - have you been keeping up with Eastenders.  I can't wait for tonight's big reveal, personally I think it was a Mitchell.  EE has been banging it out lately.  Unfortunately I have not been able to watch Ricky and Bianca's wedding yet.

I thought it everyone did a fab. job.  I got choked up when Bradley fell/jumped off the Queen Vic. and hit the ground with a thud.  Lacey Turner murdered it a Stacey Slater.  It has definitely been hard to keep the intensity/heavy drama going towards the end of Feb.  I know, patience but damn the anniversary we was sooo good!

Johnathon - Are you caught up on EE?  The 'Chryed' has been sooo good.  Amira just broke me when she was begging Syed to give her another chance.  Great...Great...Stuff!  I am not sure what's when Ben Mitchell.  The character seems to be flailing about like a fish out of water.  I do like his relationship with Walford's so-called 'misfits' Shirley and Heather.  I do wonder when Lucas' Jeykl and Hyde storyline is going to ramp up.  Dude is literally 'killin them' in Walford.

I am all most caught up! I am watching episodes that aired in MAY now, and I should probably be nicely caught up by the end of next week or so if I continue watching at my current pace LOL.

The big reveal with Amira / Syed was KILLER, I am sorry but this has to be one of the BEST same-sex storylines that soaps have EVER told. The twist and turns are just brilliant! All of the actors are constantly bringing their A games and it really makes me mad that an American soap opera cannot tell a storyline of this level.

Anyways the Live episode was amazing as well, and while I knew Stacy was the killer and that Bradley was going to die it was really a very well done episode, and I also really enjyoed the way that they filmed the following episodes without exposing who the killer was.

The Stacy / Max two hander episode was also another brilliant episode that I hope wins EastEnders an Award sometime soon from somewhere lol.
