Neighbours 2009 (Aus Pace)

I just finished watching the season, here is a recap/highlights that i wrote for the 2009 season here it is :

Okay girls gather around cuz guess what? I am recapping the entire 2009 year of Neighbours! So ready? Set? Let's go!

2009 started off with the rafting disaster, but don't worry because really in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter! YAY useless plot points!

Libby and Dan got hitched (...that was ONLY this year? Jeeze), and the story moved on.

Libby can't have kids, so Susan (mom) offers to carry a baby! It's a bumpy road to get things started, but once they got going things were good. That was until contract negotiations came to play and thus the baby died .

Teens/ YA-

Rachel and Ty ran off to England (*Tear*), and thus Sunny came to make Neighbours more PC, but after kissing a girl, having some fun, and being involved with Zeke, Sunny eventually left to go back to Korea.

The Ramsey's came back to town, but this time it was the Next generation! These three are amazing....

Bridget had a baby, then died. After mourning her death for three or so months Dec finally began to realize that he does kinda like the new Ramsey girl Kate at Schoolies (BTW AWESOME name for something lol).

Speaking of Kate, the nu-Teen Mom, she has some drama of her own as the DHS (Department of Health and Safety) screw things up and take away Harry!, but eventually everything is made right.

let's move on from them and focus on some Adults for a tick (Then we will get to the awesomeness that is Donna).

Rebekah had her hands full this year, losing a daughter-in-law, gaining a granddaughter, and then her wedding day was ruined once again by the amazingly cunning, Lyn Skully! (Steph's mum).

Lyn comes to town, takes over Harolds, and just causes all sorts of drama (such as being a gossip columnist for Paul's paper).

Susan has a MS relapse after losing the baby ( * tear * ).

And because of contract negotiations falling through Dan and Libby broke up (Okay contract negotiations were that Neighbours wanted him to stay, he wanted to leave so he left lol, thats all, but it sounds more dramatic the other way), this caused Ben to be all sad because all of his dad's go away *Tear*.

Toddy keeps trying to find love in all the wrong places, first it was with Cullum's teacher, then it was with the dog trainer, but it never quite works out does it? So who will he be with in 2010? Well let's just say its time to rekindle an old flame YAYY (Brooke care to take a guess? )

Now Lucas... Lucas and Elle are still 'kinda' together, Elle left the street, she is working for a  New York paper, but doing international reporting (So she is never in the same space for long), she taped an extra scene that aired on finale week with a break up, so what does Lucas do? Well get on a bike and goes 140 and crashes...

Oh and because Bridget died, Miranda and Steve left the street , they still 'call' every now and again, but that's all.

Time for Donna! Donna had a whirlwind season! But the biggest story was her persuing her dreams in Fashion! Yes Donna is DONNA MARTIN from 90210! She's awesome, the storyline was fun and lasted for a good while, but it ended when her abusive boss slapped her, and Donna quit and pressed charges. Now Donna and Ringo have been having a lot of fights this season, so while on Schoolies Donna had a one night stand...... *sigh* This is a soap so guess what that means??????????????????????

Ontop of that Donna began searching for her father, after her mother came, and left town, she decided to find her real dad. How? By posting to the internet that's how! Yep there are some weirdo's out there, and so they took advantage... *sigh* poor Donna. But then her real dad made contact but what did Donna do? Delete the email! (look for this storyline to reappear in 2010 as well, with i believe some All Saints casting involved).

Now that wrapped up everything but how the series ended right? Well i am watching that while writing, so from this point on will be the "instant" finale reactions and what happened lol.

Paul decided the perfect gift for Rebekah would be a surprise wedding at Charlies (the bar she bought off Steph!)

Lynn tells Susan that she is still in love with Paul *jaw drops*.

Donna's one night stand shows up in the bar, Rebekah runs over and says "were closed" and he says "Sorry I am here to see Paul Robbinson" Rebekah ask "Is this for work or personal?" "Personal" He walks over and Paul ask "Have we met?" he nods "You could say that, i am your son, Andrew"

*Jaw drops again*

All i have to say is OMG 2010 is going to be AMAZING!

Ok so I'm newish to Neighbours (and i'm on the UK pace) I've got a question I watched for a while in 2003/2004 and Lyn Scully seemed to be a normal house wife with 3 girls and a husband. I started watching again in mid October 2009 (UK pace) and she comes back as this crazy lady. What happened to her? They mentioned her marrying Paul Robinson a few times but other than that I have no idea what happened to her.

Other than that i'm really enjoying watching again.

Oh Lyn, I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Lyn.

This is my first encounter with Lyn, so I don't really know her backstory sorry! But I believe she married Paul a few times, and left town, now she came back, still in love with him and is trying to win him back LOL.

Its a slow building story, but its getting real good
