Damages

Anyone else watching the 3rd Season of Damages? It's is hands down one of the best shows on television! I stay away from spoilers so the first episode was absolutely shocking to me! I won't give it away just in case anyone hasn't seen it yet.

I'm just on eppy 5 of season 2 I'm trying desparately to catch up I'm at the part where William Hurt's character' finds out about his son with Patty...and he is not quite as I thought. Lots of twists and turns. I like Mario VanPeebles as the FBI guy and his partner a lot....
The guy she met at the support group isn't who he says he is it seems so
I'm watching some eppys tonight...I like how this show writes women
very well they are powerful and kick some butt on this show. Glenn Close, Marcia
Harden are two of my favs so
I'll be back when I catch up to season three there's 8 more I have to get through then Season three
I'm excited about the new season, although, I was thoroughly disappointed in the season 2 finale.
OK I caught up on Damages Whew! it wasn't easy
in what way are you disappointed ?? I am re-watching the Season 2 finale
Episode 13 - Trust Me
is that where she gets stabbed? I'll be back
Yep the 1st Eppy of Season 1 is a total shocker for me, I even re-winded it to be sure...
Lily Tomlin is good though... its always a good cast, I really enjoy this series
Stumbled upon us a review on the show or whatever..its long but interesting

The stabbing was one of the issues I had. So she was bleeding because she was stabbed by the crack head and NOT because Ellen shot her? Whatever! Also, what happened to Ellen trying to bring down Frobisher for her fiance's murder? All she needed was for Patty to admit to trying to kill her and that made all the anger go away? Maybe they'll deal with that more this season since Ted Danson is coming back but it didn't make sense to me.Regardless, of what Patty did to her, the man she loved was still dead because of Frobisher. And there were too many SIKE moments. Why couldn't it just be that Tom was really sick of Patty and was helping Ellen? Why couldn't it be that Patty really did want to set Ellen up for paying off a judge?
OK through (RE Season 2)
the whole season I thought Ellen shot Patty w/the aiming the gun/gun shot/her covered w/blood in elevator. It was A WTH? moment when the inside-trader-cokehead stabbed her. I think he's funny...
.LoL I never really got that Frobischer was responsible for David's death until now
It was said in dialog repeatedly also I began to not believe Patty tried to kill Ellen; I was buying it when she said you remind me of how I want my daughter to be and she was sorry that she got attacked in her apt because they were after her....
I began buying some of Patty's Bull...
I also agree it was overloaded with SIKE moments (wrapping up Season 2) ...some things could have just been that simple....
Was not surprised (at all)
@husband having an affair...
Was surprised
@ Tom' death
@ her son w/ an older woman as a love intrest
@Ellen backstroking on Frobischer
@the guy Ellen sort is involved w/ a policeman (from the grief support group)
@Patty/Frobisher connection them teaming up for the charity deal and his setting up the UNR dude..
didn't want the FBI (MarioVan Peebles) character to get murdered and Frobischer in Season 2 cracked me up being all spiritual and walking through the garden and his change into yin/yang persona...like how he set up
I'm not a huge fan of what Ellen does (enjoy the actress' portrayal) a lot of how they write her ticks me off.
glad Ellen got another job
also found a spot for us to watch old eppys if you want it PM me....
I love Damages I've seen every episode. I am loving season 3 so far
I read an interview with Campbell Scott, who is playing Joe Tobin, on the TVGuide.com website and he says there's supposed to be "a big bomb" on tonights episode. Can't wait!

ETA: About Season 2...At about the middle of the season, I stopped believing that Ellen shot Patty. It just didn't make sense to me. I agree Season, I too was disappointed that Ellen dropped her vendetta against Frobisher. And after everything, all Ellen wanted from Patty was a confession?? No, her motivation for working with the Feds was about in the end nailing Patty to the wall.
About the stabbing, I was okay with the coke head stabbing Patty, but what I didn't buy is how Patty could pull off the meeting with Ellen right after she was stabbed.
The SIKE moments happened in Season 1 also. I just take it as a part of the show, nothing is what it seems. I actually enjoy all the red herrings, but maybe there were just too many in Season 2.
There were also unaswered questions that I had and was hoping they would be addressed in Season 3. Even with my few gripes about the Season Finale, I thought the entire season was amazing and it had me riveted the entire way. IMO, the first season is still my favorite, but Damages did not suffer from a sophmore slump! Also, I love the cinematography of this show. I also love the opening credits. I never get tired of hearing that song, just like I didn't with The Sopranos opening.
Oh, and one more thing...Darrell Hammond should never play a creepy bad guy again. I did find him disturbing, but I kept waiting for him to break into a Bill Clinton accent.
Read Scott inteview its good I like him I forget his acting lineage George C and am a huge Colleen Dewhurst fan from back in the day...
...Darrell Hammond ? What character
Is he a comedienne?
I too never tired of the Sopranos opening. "When I get through with you there won't be anything left" Yep I feel the same way re: song/ cinematography /opening credits. The casting is also excellent...
The filter (lighting this season its bluish/white) they use works for me esp when they flash forward/backward it helps...
I agree...Season one was phenomenal just awesome storytelling...I couldn't believe it was so good.
I started doubting myself that is why I came on line
Am I just going goo-ga-ga and its not all that?
Is it just me?

Gorgeously acted, written, paced, structured and conceived, "Damages" remains one of the best shows on TV--and maybe the most enjoyably addictive.
