Survivor: Heroes vs Villians
February 11, 2010 - 7:56am
Tonight Survivor Heroes vs Villians premieres tonight. I am very excited for this season. It includes many of my favorites (Cirie, Russell, Rupert, JT) and some of my least favorities (Coach and Tyson). Who else is looking forward to this new season?
I will be interested to see how Russell fares with these "All-Stars" of Survivor. He claims he's the best player. One thing I will say is he has an advantage over these players because none of them were able to see his season of play before they did this season. He is the unknown, which I think gives him an advantage.
What are your thoughts on the upcoming season? Be sure to check out the premiere episode tonight at 8pm on CBS!

Glad the new season is starting. Not super excited that almost everyone is back for the third time though. My hope for Russell is that Parvarti, Courtney, and Jerri use him and dump him. I think he will be true to his sexism and keep trying to use the women and then vote them out. He thinks he won the last one so it will be interesting to see his private camera comments.
I don't know who I am cheering for. I don't really love any of them. Sandra, Rupert, JT, and James are all just ok. Wish they could have been more creative and brought back people like Colleen, Gretchen, BB, or Gervase from S1. Or Frank and Theresa from Africa. Keith from Austrailia would have been a good villian. I know they try for the more "exciting" characters but it would be more fun to see the regular folks who really helped the show take off.
BOSTON ROB still rules...the clips from next week better be nothing.
I actually cheered when Coach "frogged" my boy Colby over to the pad in the first challenge. I wondered how only coach was smart enough to know to hang back and let the others do the digging til Boston Rob did the same and then we had the scenes where coach bromanced his idol and I though ---ahhh Rob told him that trick in the opening round.
Then Rob started the fire.
Then Rob and Sandra singlehandedly won the challenge for the "villians"
On the hero side, props to Tom...you have two physically weak competitors and you take out blah, no brains Sugar and keep the one with smart shit stirrer. JT and the others SHOULD have listened to Tom and given Cerie the boot - thus breaking up the James/Cerie/Amanda alliance.

Man that first challange was a dosey. Two injuries in less then an hour. Some of those fights got nasty and I loved it. Loved when Suguar just said screw it to the bra and went for the point. I forgot what an egotistical ass Tyson is. And I hate Randy. My favorite moment in Survivor history is when Suguar used Bob to fake him out and Randy went home. I love Boston Rob but can someone tell me what he did that made him a villan. I will admit the only thing I remember about his season was the car date with him and Amber and the proposal at the reunion show.
I think he is a villian because he makes alliances and then bails on them, including the one with one of the allstar contestants who he had become pals with IRL. right before the merge there was a challenge where the tribes got mixed up and Amber ended up over with the other tribe and he told his friend that if he could keep amber from getting eliminated he would team up with him and another person from that other tribe after the merge and run the game. What the real life friend didnt know was that BR already had a solid alliance on his own tribe, so after his buddy protected amber, they went to merge and not only did Rob NOT team up with his buddy, he arranged it so that he would get eliminated first.
I dont really consider any of it being villianous. They are playing a game. Part of the game involves deception.
Seeing Rob and Amber lose on Amazing Race was one of my favorite moments. I've never been a Boston Rob fan, but I think his play on All-Stars was more strategic than Russell's on Samoa. I don't care if Rob gets voted out, but I don't want to see him have to leave for medical reasons.
Those physical challenges tick me off. Especially since in Samoa they were all upset that people played their stupid game too roughly. They made such a big deal of kicking someone out of a challenge but they continue to ask for that behavior. Stupid CBS.
Sugar laughing at Randy when he used his fake idol was also one of my favorite moments in reality TV. He was constantly demeaning Susie and Sugar because they may not have a PHD or whatever after their name, but they both beat him and his ego. I hope Randy goes soon.
I've always hated Boston Rob but actually found myself happy that he was the one that started fire if not for anything to shut up Randy. I mean really "no one can make fire without flint" what the freak did the cavemen do. It's basic boys scout stuff.
I always feel bad for the chickens. I know I eat them but I don't want to look at their face. I would be my idea weight if I lived on a farm.
Tom reminded me why I loved him, he still knows that game, but I am also a person who firmly believes that you keep your team strong and cut out the weak one first. Sugar in the first challenge looked tired after a few seconds and only got lucky because dumbass Sandra popped her bra off giving her free range to run.
I do not care who on the Heroes wins as long as they win.
I am wondering what the previews really mean for Boston Rob next week. I hope he doesn't get put out of the game for the injury. I can't wait until the villains have to vote someone off. It will be interesting to see the scheming. I think Russell might be over playing his hand. I hope these villains don't fall for it. The two hours were very interesting. I enjoyed it. Can't wait until next week!
Raven you dont think from a strategic position that Tom's alliance would have been better off getting rid of Cerie?? I guess I dont think she is THAT much stronger than Sugar.
Love to see all the trashing of Randy. I think he is my least fav. of both tribes.
I am rooting for Boston Rob and if he goes then I am rooting for Colby and if not him then Tom.
Did anyone catch the Surviving Survivor special?? I feel so badly for Ethan and Jenna. What a great couple, so upbeat in the face of adversity. I have done some research on stem cell therapy and they have had some great results with it, so hopefully it proves to be the cure he needs.
I will laugh hysterically when Russel gets voted out. And I hope its soon cuz if I have to go another whole season with I am king of Survivor crap I will throw something at my TV repeatedly until he shuts up.
EET I don't believe Cirie is strong physically but mentally she is one of the BEST to ever play the game! Both seasons that she was on she was underestimated and people went on to regret it. She's one of my favorites and I hope she makes it far.
I want Boston Rob to lead in the destruction of Russell! I would love for Boston Rob to get him out! Him and Sandra working together could be nothing but good stuff.
EET I agree strategically that is a great idea in theory, but in reality it paints a huge target on Tom (whom I love) and to me it also shows a slight bit of ego in thinking that this is there only chance to get out Cirie. Everyone knows that Cirie is a danger and right now you still have the numbers. While Cirie and Sugar on a physical scale are similar I still give it to Cirie, and I would rather go into the next immunity challenge stronger since the Villians are coming off a big victory. In fact they might underestimate them because I am sure the villians will have a lot to say about them not taking out someone strong.
I am a huge Colby fan, I have loved him forever and because he has never been caught with two idols in his pocket while being evicted (Ozzie & James) I love him the best.
I despise Boston Rob but over Russell (who still can't figure out that he is not the best survivor ever), I will choose Rob
I still can't figure out why Sandra is on the villains she must have been their last choice when they could not have Richard Hatch.
Also, please note that I will be requiring a slop bucket while watching each epi containing anything related to Jeri & Coach. Talk about getting the heaves the minute these two hit my screen.
Sandra stripped Sugar down...I think that makes her a villian LOL
Smitty, yes I know Cirie is a mastermind, I was only talking physical prowess.
Raven, I like your thinking. You make a strong case for Sugar over Cirie.
I guess I like Boston Rob because he is so clever. I FLOVED just as an example when he was on Amazing Race there was this DISGUSTING food challenge and Rob just couldnt do it, so he talked all these other teams out of even TRYING because it was according to him "impossible". They all just gave up and took the penalty. When that happened I was watching and literally howling with laughter and his chichanery. I liked that he was smart enough not to waste his energy on digging up the bag in the dirt and I liked that he figured out how to make fire - then was smart enough not to tell the other team that they had fire. For me, BR makes good tv.
I am always amazed when people allow someone else to talk them into something. Rob's voice grates me to know end but I am sure everyone's would if I was stuck with them for 39 days.
I for one will be thrilled to see who finally takes Russell out, because I really believe his tears during last season's finale were sort of a prelude of him not making it to the end this time. But I could be wrong, and it was all part of his typical act.
Agreed I mean look how desperate he was at the Samoa finale. He was so desperate for the title of Sole Survivor that he offered Natalie $1000 or something if she would give him the title. I will begrudginly admit that he was a good player in Samoa. I gotta give him credit he found two or was it three idols without clues and except for the Galu members before the merge he had a hand in every players exit in that game. And because of the he has an ego bigger then the entire solar system put together LOL.
