Visions of the Past
August 8: Sookie and Bill realize their relationship is doomed and break up at the hospital. When Bill returns home, Jessica is happy to see him and won’t let him set her free, begging him to not leave her alone. Bill teaches his vampire offspring to move at superspeed in preparation for King Russell’s anticipated return to retrieve Sookie, but he won’t reconsider their break up despite Jess’s urging.
A vengeful Debbie and her wolf cronies burn down Alcide’s sister’s beauty salon, so Alcide has to return to Jackson. Hesitant to leave Sookie unprotected, he nevertheless has a very warm farewell scene with her. Luckily we fans know that Joe Manganiello has been upgraded to series regular next season. Things are hopping over at Merlotte’s where Arlene, who’s having visions of her murderous ex Rene, hires a new waitress named Holly – who suspiciously knows that Arlene’s with child – and promptly warns Sam not to sleep with her. Sam is too preoccupied with looking after Tommy, who is in Bon Temps to stay now that Mama and Daddy Pickens have left.
Tommy’s dogfighting instincts are still kicking in whenever Hoyt shows up and both he and Sam sniff some animal scent on Crystal’s dad and ex-fiance when they show up looking for her. Crystal’s too busy seeking solace from Jason, who confronts her dad with a shotgun and a warning to stay out of her life. Dad’s not planning on accommodating Jason’s request anytime soon. Tara is tormented by visions of Franklin. Lafayette is visited by his mom, who escaped from the old folks’ home, and Jesus, who shows up to reclaim her. When Lafayette explains to Jesus that quitting V pushing isn’t easy, Jesus just pulls him in for a kiss… and more.
Eric Gives it to Talbot
Speaking of man love, Talbot is having a hissy fit over the fact that Queen Sophie-Ann is moving in to his increasingly crowded mansion. Maybe she can have Lorena’s old room? To placate Talbot while King Russell travels to Bon Temps to recapture Sookie, Eric agrees to stay behind and keep him company. I wonder how they’ll kill the time? Eric knows what he’d like to kill.
Sookie gets a warning from cousin Hadley – sent by Eric -- that Russell is on his way. When His Royal Toupee arrives with Debbie and a pair of werewolves, Sookie’s home becomes a battleground. Sookie and Deb finally go mano a mano in Sook’s bedroom while Bill and Jessica show up to protect her from the wolves downstairs.
When one of the werewolves leads Jess out of Sook’s house, Russell grabs her and offers her life to Bill in exchange for Sook. Bill goads Russ into hand-to-hand combat, but he’s again no match for the much older vampire king. Just as Russell prepares to finish Bill, he’s pulled away by the sudden destruction of Talbot, who was staked by Eric just as their naked encounter was getting interesting back at the mansion.
Sookie’s knockdown brawl with Debbie Pelt ends when she lets the skanky she-wolf leave. All the fighting leaves everyone in a frenzy.
Jessica drains the wolf that dared hunt her down while Bill and Sookie have a heated reunion and go at it like monkeys on a honeymoon.

Season 3 Episode 9 "Everything is Broken"
Sookie awakens from her coma, with Jason and Tara in the hospital room she takes one look at Bill and shrieks.
At Russell's mansion, Talbot is furious that the king's new wife, Sophie-Anne, is moving in with them. As his partner complains, Russell meets with Debbie in the study.
Aww Puddin'
Bill comes home, and knowing that Russell and his minions will soon be coming, he "releases" Jessica, freeing her from his control so she can escape. But Jessica, already feeling abandoned, bursts into tears and refuses to leave. She doesn't know enough he hasn't taught her
"I can't protect you, I'm no good to you."
Sookie rests on her couch with Alcide, who's unwilling to leave her to fend for herself. She offers him a guest room to stay as long as he wants, and he reaches out to touch her face, promising, "Some day it won't hurt so bad."
Their moment is interrupted by Jason and Andy, who urge her to press charges against Bill for attacking her. Sookie refuses; Jason gets angry,
At Sam's rental property, Melinda shows up in shifted into dog form to speak w/ her two sons. She starts by trying to defend Joe Lee, and when that fails, tells the boys how much she loves them... then asks Sam for money.
Tara and Arlene are both haunted by their past traumas, experiencing terrifying dreams. For Arlene, it's Rene, the real father of her unborn child, while Tara can't get the sadistic Franklin out of her mind.
Lafayette comes home from spending the night with Tara and finds Ruby Jean, crazy as ever, waiting on his porch. She raves on about how the vampires and witches are coming for Lafayette, "You got powers boy"
It's not long before Jesus shows up looking for her
Jason rushes into his house and searches for shotgun shells loaded with wood from his Fellowship of the Sun days. He's about to burst out the door again when Crystal arrives, soaking wet. She tells Jason that she ran away from her family because she doesn't want to marry Felton.
In a booth at Merlotte's, Arlene interviews Holly, the bar's new waitress, who unnerves Arlene when she guesses that she's pregnant.
Sam walks into his office to find Tara, horrified after another Franklin flashback and crying. Without asking anything, he takes her in his arms.
Later that evening, Sam has to stop Tommy from instigating a fight with Hoyt over Jessica.
Eric sends Hadley to Bon Temps with a warning for Sookie: Russell is coming, and she can't trust Bill. Sookie figures that Russell will find her wherever she goes, so she's just going to stay put.
Felton and Calvin come to Merlotte's looking for Crystal. They can tell that Sam and Tommy are shifters, and the Merlotte boys can smell something odd about the meth dealers as well. Sam kicks them out of the bar, and when they return to Hotshot, Calvin finds Jason poking around--with a shotgun.
Debbie and her pack of wolves make a move on Sookie's house. While Debbie heads upstairs to find Sookie, her wolves are stopped by Bill and Jessica, who race to Sookie's aid. In her bedroom, Sookie trains a shotgun on Debbie, but the she-wolf takes advantage of Sookie's hesitation and disarms her. An all-out brawl ensues, downstairs, when Jessica chases an escaping wolf out the door,
Russell appears and grabs her by the throat. Bill convinces him to release her, but the younger vampire has no chance against the 3,000 year old king. Just as Russell continues is assault on Bill Eric stakes Talbot and Russell returns to the mansion.
Bill finds Sookie in what's left of her bedroom, with broken glass and furniture scattered everywhere. She hurries toward him and wraps her arms around him. "I love you," she tells him, to which he responds, "I'm sorry..." They kiss, and then they're on the floor for a bloody make out session.

Via TV Guide:
Call it animal magnetism. The much buzzed-about True Blood panther finally prowls into Bon Temps—and heads right for Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) on Sunday (9/8c, HBO). As if the wannabe cop doesn’t have enough to worry about trying to protect sis Sookie (Anna Paquin) and bounce back from a spat with new love Crystal (Lindsay Pulsipher).
“He’s dealing with his little simple life thrown upside down,” Kwanten says. There are complications Jason can’t even imagine when Crystal defies her father, Calvin (Gregory Sporleder), and makes a major choice that will affect her and Jason’s future. “There are a lot of things working against that relationship,” says executive producer Alan Ball.
But before the couple has a chance to reunite, Jason meets the panther. “It’s just as vicious, if not more vicious, than a werewolf,” says Kwanten. When man and beast go toe-to-paw, will the claws come out — or will they hiss and make up?
I have been wondering when we get to see them.
I say bring on the panthers!!!!
