Kelli Giddish and Jesse Metcalfe to Star in NBC's Chase

Now this sounds like something to check out. NBC has picked up the Jerry Bruckheimer drama Chase starring former All My Children star Kelli Giddish and Passions eye candy Jesse Metcalfe, according to Broadcasting & Cable. Chase is “a fast-paced drama amid a game of cat-and-mouse as a team of U.S. marshals hunts down America's most dangerous fugitives.”

Since leaving their respective soaps each has spent time in primetime. Metcalfe had a memorable stint on Desperate Housewives as Gaby’s (Eva Longoria) lawn boy lover, while Giddish starred in FOX’s quickly cancelled Past Life.

Jesse Metcalfe is returning to Desperate Housewives. According to TV Guide Magazine he will appear in the third and fourth episodes of the upcoming season. Apparently Metcalfe's character John will have his hands full dealing with Gaby's (Eva Longoria) niece Ana.

But this time it’s not necessarily Gaby whom Carlos has to worry about, but his troublemaking niece, Ana (Maiara Walsh). Per Cherry, “When Ana finds out that Gabrielle had an affair with John, she sets her sights on him, which upsets Gabrielle.”

Former Passions heartthrob and Desperate Housewives' hunk Jesse Metcalfe is in talks with producers of Coronation Street, according to published reports in the UK. Reportedly Metcalfe is a fan of the show, whose executives "have recently been toying with the idea of breaking into the US market with the long running soap. Links with figures such as Metcalfe may help facilitate this."

Would daytime soap stars, such as Metcalfe, be enough to entice you into trying Coronation Street if it aired in the US?

Jesse Metcalfe Recovering From 40 Foot Fall

Former Desperate Housewives and Passions' star Jesse Metcalfe fell off a Monaco balcony and was knocked unconscious, US Magazine is reporting. According to Metcalfe's rep " he is fine and now recovering from some minor bruises in a London hospital." Perez Hilton is reporting he fell 40 feet at a World Music Awards after party.

Desperate Housewives' star Jesse Metcalfe told Parade magazine he doesn't miss his role on the hit ABC show. Check out the quote below.
 

"Truthfully I don't [miss it]," he said. Obviously, it was just a huge opportunity for me. And it was a great time, really a lot of fun. But leaving the show was a blessing because I could have still been playing John Rowland five years later. Now I've gotten to play some really interesting, complex characters in feature films."

Metcalfe must be the only actor in Hollywood who thinks not having a role on a hit TV show for five years is a bad thing.
