We continue our look back at the 2009 fall TV season with its new and returning series, by focusing on CBS and its procedural heavy lineup. I've thoroughly enjoyed How I Met Your Mother for years, but this summer I fell in love with The Big Bang Theory while it was in rerurns and couldn't wait for it to return with fresh episodes in the fall. I was not disappointed.

NCIS has been the best show, I like how it's not so graphic with the consent flashback, I really hate that; I do like CSI: Miami it's so bright and colorful It's really great in HD, I'm tired of the gloom and doom shows centered around New York, There are other interesting cities.

A solid 3-way tie between The Big Bang Theory, Survivor and The Good Wife.
When BBT is not genuinely funny, it is side-splitting uproarious! The cast is picture perfect, the writing is sharp (and smart enough to not talk down to its audience but accessible enough for non-science types to love it), and the situations our characters often get into leave me in tears!
Survivor, on the other hand, has been on fire with the introduction of the true JR Ewing of reality shows Russell, the antics of crazy ass Shambo, the insane rivalries, the dumbass moves and the truly suspenseful tribal councils almost all season long.
The Good Wife is just superb drama. None of the syrupy emotional bullshit of Grey's Lobotomy, none of the hyper-kinetic faux-energy of any of NBC's "dramas", just solid writing, exquisite acting by Juliana Marguiles, Josh Charles, and Christine Baranski, a subtle but increasingly intriguing subplot involving a possible set up, interesting court cases, and the season's best new discovery, Archie Panjabi!
The Amazing Race is always on my top lists (except that god awful "family" season).

I love NCIS, from the cases all the way down to how they intermingle the personal relationships of the team without being overly done. The only thing is that I really wish they could figure out a way to bring back Lauren Holly. There is just something missing in the dynamic and besides that, the new director is just plaing annoying. It's sad when they have an entire episode dedicated to his family being in danger and as a viewer I couldn't care less.
The Good Wife is unbelievable. I'm so sad it took this long for Juliana Marguiles to return to TV but what a way to do it! She has found her niche and I can't wait to see what else that show has in store.

The only shows that I watch on CBS are The Big Bang Theory and The Good Wife. In my opinion the Big Bang Theory is the best comedy on CBS and is one of the best comedies on television, along with Modern Family and 30 Rock.
The Good Wife has been a surprise to me. Smart writing. Cast that’s easy on the eyes. Complex characters with secrets, including realistic 3D teens and grandparent. Plots that are procedural but not formulaic, with subplots setting “hooks” to be paid off later. Episodes that are both one-off serials and arc-developing. And I love the mix of the courtroom drama alng with Chris Noth's storyline.

Am I the only one who loves Medium?
The Good Wife is excellent but Medium has been absoutly awesome this year, much better than it has been other years!

BIg Bang Theory. Only CBS show I regularly watch and one of the few, if not the only current sitcom that reminds me of great 90s sitcoms I loved like Fraiser, Friends, and Raymond.

Survivor by far ....probably the best edition of this show in it's entire run. Russell & Shambo are captivating to watch. Go bulldog Russell !!!!
