Shout out to All My Children's Debbi Morgan and Cornelius Smith, Jr. who took home NAACP Image Awards this past Friday. Morgan and Smith, Jr. were in the company of Gabourey Sidibe who won Best Lead Actress for Precious and Shonda Rimes, who won for Best Writing in Drama Series for Grey's Anatomy. Entertainment Weekly'sMichael Ausiello is reporting Saturday Night Live is "thisclose" to landing Betty White as host, but with a catch.
White would not be hosting alone. Rather, I hear SNL is putting together a “Women of Comedy” episode that would team the former Rose Nylund with several of her younger contemporaries. Ex-SNL MVP Molly Shannon is on board, I hear, and feelers have also been put out to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. (An NBC spokesperson insists no one has been confirmed at this time.)
The forbidden love of Christian and Olli, from German sudser Verbotene Liebe is coming to America. According to The Hollywood Reporter, former HBO vice-president Sam Martin has secured the rights to the storyline revolving around a gay couple in Dusseldorf. Martin plans to Americanize Christian and Olli with a setting in Portland, Oregon. READ MORE
Betty White fans across the internet are campaigning to have the TV legend, comedic actress and Super Bowl ad star host NBC's Saturday Night Live. However according to People, White isn't sure it would ever happen.
"I don't even know where that came from," the 88-year-old Mary Tyler Moore Show and Golden Girls Emmy winner tells PEOPLE about the online movement to have her host SNL. "That just came out of left field. It's ridiculous. I don't think [SNL creator and producer] Lorne Michaels even knows about it, so we won't worry about it."
Still, should Michaels phone her, she'll take it – both the call and the offer to host the 35-year-old NBC staple, provided her demanding schedule will allow.

All three girls grew up with Lucky's son Bobby and share sordid pasts with the sex god.
A friend bought the novel for me on pre-order, so it should be waiting on my doorstep when I get home. Let's just say if you hear about anyone getting mowed down on a dark, Southern street tonight it's because they got in my way on the drive home! The Bold and the Beautiful alum Jennifer Finnigan has landed a comedy pilot starring opposite of Joanna Garcia, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Since leaving B&B Finnigan starred for two seasons on the CBS crime drama Close to Home and had short stints on NBC's Crossing Jordan and USA's The Dead Zone.
The untitled Goldberg-Meehan multicamera comedy, from WBTV, revolves around sisters at different stages of their romantic relationships: one (Finnigan) is in a happy, long-term relationship but isn't married, the other (Garcia) gets pregnant and winds up marrying her boyfriend.
