Cougar Town

Lisa Kudrow on Cougar Town

Friends fans have been looking forward to Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox’s reunion on Cougar Town since Kudrow’s appearance was first announced. Now the premiere photo from their Cougar Town scenes has been released. According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, Cox's Jules and Kudrow's character will be less than friendly towards one another.

“They didn’t want to play friends,” says executive producer Bill Lawrence, who quickly came up with a different role for Kudrow. “She plays a dermatologist who is a horrible, horrible person, but [Cox] goes to her because she’s the best. The [sight] of them playing people who dislike each other intensely was very funny for me to watch.”

Which of Courteney’s other Friends costars would you like to see drop by Cougar Town? Personally, I vote for Matthew Perry!

Which New Fall Series Is Your Favorite?

November sweeps ended on Thanksgiving eve, you're finishing the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers and all of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and The CW's new scripted series are beginning to wrap up the last of their 2009 episodes. Anticipated by viewers some of the new series have already been cancelled, including: Eastwick, Hank and The Beautiful Life. A few series, like Brothers haven't "officially" (and are thus included in this poll) gotten the axe, but they might as well be. Others, like Vampire Diaries have set records for their network. Fortunately many of the new series have been picked up or received script orders. The question now becomes, which of these new series is your favorite?

Which new scripted TV series that hasn’t been cancelled is your favorite?

ABC Picks Up Cougar Town, Modern Family and The Middle

The network pick ups are coming fast and furious. Hot on the heels of CBS picking up NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife comes word that ABC has picked up Cougar Town, Modern Family and The Middle for full seasons.

Quitting Isn't in Carolyn Hennesy's Lexicon

Cougar Town and General Hospital star Carolyn Hennesy visits with Our Prattville's Melissa Parker about Cougar Town, Pandora and whether or not she'd consider quitting General Hospital.

Melissa Parker (Our Prattville): Would you like for your recurring role to turn into a regular one on Cougar Town? If so, would you consider quitting General Hospital?

Carolyn Hennesy: Absolutely, I would love to be a series reg. But this whole “quitting” thing is just not in the lexicon regarding soaps. Once the soap world has you, they don’t let go. I could be doing CT for seven years, and the next year “Diane” could be back in Port Charles … having just returned from doing missionary work in the Congo. Or some such act of martyrdom and selflessness.

Carolyn Hennesy: "I'm the Queen of All Cougars"

Before jumping on a Delta 747 headed for SoCal last week, I caught up with the deliciously-funny and ferociously-talented Carolyn Hennesy, who was recovering from a bronchial infection after a grueling stint promoting her Pandora Gets series, via a marathon session of readings and fan events in Athens, GA.

Hennesy was also gearing up for the Sept. 23 premiere of Cougar Town, the much-buzzed about Courteney Cox vehicle about a 40-something single mom who starts dating younger men. Though on recurring status with the show, Hennesy had already lensed the first three episodes (including the pilot), and was slated to appear in episode four, bringing to life what is sure to be her breakout role as Barbara, an uptight real estate broker by day and "the Queen of all cougars" by night.

And of course she's still adding a much-needed dose of heart and humor to ABC Daytime's General Hospital anytime she appears on the soap as no-nonsense legal eagle Diane Miller. Five seconds after talking to this lovely lady, it's no wonder why fans and show runners alike adore her so much.

Daytime Confidential: So you've been doing a book tour while sick? Bless your heart!

Carolyn Hennesy: Oh, I know, I've have a major bronchial infection. Do I sound okay?

DC: No, you don't but don't worry; this is for the website, not the podcast.

CH: Oh good! Yeah, I did eight schools in two days in Athens, Georgia. I ate at my new favorite restaurant, The National and visited a town called Social Circle, Georgia. Isn't that just the best name for a town you've ever heard? READ MORE

Candace Bushnell Rejects the Use of "Cougar"

ABC may have further empowered Susan Lucci's Erica Kane by turning her into a "cougar" on All My Children; Jackie M (Lesley-Anne Down) may have taken on a real-life cougar after sinking her claws into Owen Knight (Brandon Beemer) on The Bold and the Beautiful; and Courtney Cox has a highly anticipated new comedy called Cougartown premiering this fall, but could the tide be turning against the use of the term "cougar?"
