I’m a big fan of Vanessa’s work and I’m so excited that she’ll be moving into the neighborhood next season to cause trouble in all the ladies’ lives.

Look for more shakeups at Desperate Housewives this spring. In two separate stories EW.com is reporting Dana Delany may be packing up her DH bags and heading for a new ABC pilot, Body of Evidence. At the same time, Michael Ausiello is reporting Drea de Matteo will make an "explosive" exit in May.

Now here's a reason to tune back into Desperate Housewives if you've had a falling out with the show. Torchwood's John Barrowman is joining the cast of ABC's hit series for at least five episodes, according to EW.com's Michael Ausiello. Reportedly he will be at the center of Angie's (Drea de Matteo) mystery.

Former Dexter star, Julie Benz has snagged a role on Desperate Housewives. According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, Benz is set to play Debbie, a stripper who has a Masters in Education that Susan (Teri Hatcher) befriends. Look for the actress to debut in February.

The Young and the Restless' Kate Linder was one of many celebrities who turned out to help serve Thanksgiving dinners for the homeless. The annual event, hosted by Kirk and Anne Douglas and the Los Angeles Mission, brought out Greek's Gregory Michael, Vampire Diaries' Kayla Ewell,  recent Brothers & Sisters' guest Giles Marini, Desperate Housewives' Andrea Bowen, High School Musical's Corbin Bleu and Donal Logue among others. See more photos from Thanksgiving after the jump. Jesse Metcalfe returned to Desperate Housewives on Sunday as Gaby’s (Eva Longoria Paker) former gardener and lover on Sunday. His character, John Rowland, is now divorced and the owner of a restaurant that Gaby and Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) are dining at with their family. His return has Carlos on edge, Gaby remembering the past and their niece hot to trot. Based on the promo for next week’s episode things are going to be getting even more complicated for everyone involved. READ MORE

Desperate Housewives star Kathryn Joosten is suffering from lung cancer, according to People.

"I've got a little hang-up here," Joosten tells PEOPLE exclusively of the diagnosis she received less than a week ago, "but we're going to handle it and move forward. I'm doing great."

This is Joosten's second battle with cancer, having beaten it in 2001. Joosten, who once appeared on General Hospital as Ida, portrays the cranky Mrs. McCluskey on Desperate Housewives.

Now this is more like it. Monday I blogged about one of the new Desperate Housewives promotional images for the upcoming sixth season and how it seemed much more "dour" than promotional images from previous seasons. Thankfully I found this one, which seems much more in keeping with what we've come to expect from DH. What do you think?

If you're going through Desperate Housewives withdrawl, maybe this promotional image will help. Usually the DH promotional images are so lush and bright, but this one is obviously much more dour. Is it a metaphor that the tree's leaves are turning brown and falling to the ground to be trampled on?

If it isn't a metaphor, then maybe we should be concerned about what Katherine is wearing. She looks like a cross between the Big Brother red leotard and the red dress worn by Six on Battlestar Galactica.
