NCIS: Los Angeles

Which CBS Series Has Been The Worst This Fall?

It's not always easy choosing the "worst" show on a network like CBS, which has such a reliable stable of shows. However, of this fall's CBS lineup Gary Unmarried is my pick. I've tried to enjoy this sitcom, but I just can't. If I'm unlucky enough to end up watching it, by the time the 8PM CST hour rolls around I couldn't be more ready to switch to ABC's Modern Family or Fox's Glee.

Which CBS Series Has Been the Best This Fall?

We continue our look back at the 2009 fall TV season with its new and returning series, by focusing on CBS and its procedural heavy lineup. I've thoroughly enjoyed How I Met Your Mother for years, but this summer I fell in love with The Big Bang Theory while it was in rerurns and couldn't wait for it to return with fresh episodes in the fall. I was not disappointed.

Which New Fall Series Is Your Favorite?

November sweeps ended on Thanksgiving eve, you're finishing the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers and all of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and The CW's new scripted series are beginning to wrap up the last of their 2009 episodes. Anticipated by viewers some of the new series have already been cancelled, including: Eastwick, Hank and The Beautiful Life. A few series, like Brothers haven't "officially" (and are thus included in this poll) gotten the axe, but they might as well be. Others, like Vampire Diaries have set records for their network. Fortunately many of the new series have been picked up or received script orders. The question now becomes, which of these new series is your favorite?

CBS Changes It Up

Several online reports indicate that CBS has made changes to its primetime line up.  The Hollywood Reporter first reported that Numb3ers, starring Rob Morrow and David Krumholtz, has had its episode order cut to 16, down from 22. Although the network has not confirmed this will be the last season of the procedural crime drama, RUMORS are circulating that Flashpoint may jump into the Friday night timeslot in February. After only three airings, CBS has picked up both The Good Wife and NCIS: Los Angeles, according to Variety. The addition of these two shows to its Tuesday lineup, which is anchored by the original NCIS, has made CBS a dominant force on Tuesday nights.

So far this season NCIS: Los Angeles is averaging 17.5 million viewers and The Good Wife is averaging 13.7 million viewers. They are the second and third pick up of the new TV season. Fox's Glee was the first series to be picked up this season. The CW's Vampire Diaries earned itself nine additional scripts.

Linda Hunt Joins NCIS Spinoff

I wasn't impressed with the NCIS spinoff episode that introduced us to NCIS: Los Angeles. In fact, I liked it so little I'd decided to just skip it all together this fall. Now I have to reconsider. Michael Ausiello is reporting that Oscar winning actress Linda Hunt is joining the show as a series regular. Does this make you more interested in NCIS: Los Angeles?
