Which "On the Bubble" Series Do You Want to Return Next Fall?

The Hollywood Reporter is predicting the odds of which "on the bubble" network shows will return next fall. They include critical ratings challenged darlings, one-time hits, freshman series and pretty much every scripted drama on NBC that isn't a member of the Law & Order franchise.

Which of The Hollywood Reporter's "on the bubble" series do you want to return next fall?

Which New Fall Series Is Your Favorite?

November sweeps ended on Thanksgiving eve, you're finishing the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers and all of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and The CW's new scripted series are beginning to wrap up the last of their 2009 episodes. Anticipated by viewers some of the new series have already been cancelled, including: Eastwick, Hank and The Beautiful Life. A few series, like Brothers haven't "officially" (and are thus included in this poll) gotten the axe, but they might as well be. Others, like Vampire Diaries have set records for their network. Fortunately many of the new series have been picked up or received script orders. The question now becomes, which of these new series is your favorite?

TV Recap: Melrose Place and V

Melrose Place: “Ocean”

It’s countdown to Heather Locklear on Melrose Place and The CW is making as big PR push, including a Donning Anew the Miniskirt of a Predator by the New York Times.

Tuesday's episode wasn't that explicit, but they are heating up as we get ever closer to Amanda’s return. The police raided Auggie’s apartment searching for additional evidence against Auggie, but he was nowhere to be found. Of course Melrose Place’s Gossip Girl equivalent to Vanessa, Riley, has been in contact with him even as her relationship with Jonah continued to hit speed bumps. READ MORE

Roark Critchlow Says DAYS Must "Let The Show Grow"

Former Days of our Lives star Roark Critchlow (ex-Mike) chatted with TV Guide Magazine about his appearance on ABC's new smash hit V, and the subject of his old alma mater came up. The actor gave his thoughts on the ousting of DAYS fan favorites Drake Hogestyn and Deidre Hall .His answer may surprise you!

But were you shocked that Days dumped Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn (John)?

I try to look at things from a production standpoint, and if they have created a core of younger cast members with a loyal following who does not care about John and Marlena that it sort of makes sense. Do they want to continue serving the older audience? People are passing away so you’ve got to let the show grow.

V Slithers to Ratings Success for ABC

Twenty-five years later and TV watchers still can't get enough of those slimy, reptilian beings, with faux human skin, known as Visitors, or V for short. According to Variety, ABC's reboot of the classic, 80's miniseries debuted at No. 1 in demos Tuesday night.  Overall, the supernatural sudser was watched by 14. 3 million people.

I tuned in, and while sci fi isn't usually my cup of vodka and lemonade, the first V made such a frightening impression on my young psyche,—what with all the lizard people eating rats and fetch red leather outfits— I had to check out the pilot of the new version, and guess what? I loved it! The premiere was sexy, suspenseful and chock full of soapy conflict and shocking twists. READ MORE

Thursday Nights, The DVR Dilemma

I read an interesting article at The Live Feed asking whether or not Fox made a mistake by moving Fringe to Thursdays. It made me think about how I’m adapting to the night when my two DVRs are at their busiest, what I’m watching live and how long it is taking me to get to shows I still love, but have a hard time finding time to watch. Let me break it down.

I don’t watch CBS’ Thursday night lineup. I started to fall for The Mentalist at the end of last season, enjoyed catching up with it in reruns over the summer and had it scheduled on my DVR this season, but I have yet to watch a new episode. In fact I had to delete it off my DVR because there just isn’t enough time to watch Thursday’s, Friday’s and Sunday’s shows by Monday morning, when the TV week starts all over again. I’ll have to catch up on it in the off season or next summer. READ MORE

November 3rd is quickly approaching and with it the anticipated premiere of ABC's new Sci fi drama V. Sporting a cast of familiar faces, including Party of Five's Scott WolfLost's Elizabeth Mitchell and Firefly stars Morena Baccarin and Alan Tudyk, V looks like it has the potential to be the next big network Sci fi series. I know I'll be tuning in.
